The owner of the co.'s name is Kevin. He was aBowtech design engineer if I remember right.
Don't forget, the suit involved 2007 bows , not 2008 design. Elite's cams are redesigned this year.

I find it real hard for myself to even look at a Elite for this one reason I cant support a man that gets fired from one company talks all kinds of BS about it saying its garbage and that their limbs are weak and just totally looking like an idot making an A$$ out of himself just to put down and company he was fired from. If that was true he was the CP of that company he is as much to blame as anyone but all his tlak was untrue.

Having shot almost all of the "speed" bows. The GTO is the smoothest bow out the pile.

You get the speed without the harsher draw cycle or the hand shock or the almost non existant valley. The GTO doesn't try to jump if you relax off the solid wall just a tad like some other speed bows do.
If I didn't have monkey arms this would be my bow to shoot this year.

This thread is funny... people ask for opinions and then peoplet that give them get attacked.

Maybe people should ask for opinions that agree with their own personal opinions instead.

Such as...."I would like to know if the GTO is a good bow...but don't post if you think its betterthan a Matthews cause I will ridicule you for youropinion"

Agree...quite frankly, I could care less about the personalities behind the scenes. When I go shopping for a new bow, I want the best piece of equipment for my money. Archery is not about politics for me, it is a chance to get away and forget about the stressors of the world and get in touch with nature and God. I have an Elite Fire on the way....all this bickering is meaningless past that.

Didn't he alsomarry the martin girl?. I don't trust either and wouldn't do business with either.

I also heard that the 2008's are the reason Darton is stepping things up a bit, I believe they are also in question.

Yes they are in question(2008's) and Kevin is no longer the owner or at least the sole owner.

He is still the owner and I don'tTHINK there is anyone else , but you'd have to ask him.
And yes, I stand corrected. Darton is questioning the design of the Elite cams again, just like the '07's. Elite did not fight the patent infringement on the '07 model bows, but is on the '08's. Darton feels that Elite needs to pony up some $ per bow.
ANY manufacturer w/ a Binary cam pays Darton royalties since they hold the patent on the design.

I don't really care what happens except that if Darton's patent is upheld, it'll cost another $10.00 for a bow. It could take a year or two to find out.

Yes he did marry the martin girl. No he doesnt own any of the company to my knowledge. I dont know the whole story they do but for him and his wife to get on archery talk and to be that way about something he also was apart of is speaking bad of himself as well. He was the VP of bowtech. I just cant support somebody that will talk about somebody in that way and IMO it was so he could start his own company and try to shut bowtech down. Well good job it worked. NOT There still makeing the top bows and coming out with new design without him so I guess he wasnt that big for the company. I think he out grew his own pants.

I love how Germ thinks...

"How heavy can my arrows be, and still shoot 270 fps?"
