Rybo those are not his "shots"

He just suck the arrows in the deer[&:]

"He walks up to it and shoots but hits it in theleg"
"The kid knocksanother arrow and shoots the deer, in the picture it looks like twice"

He shot it from underneath I think. BTW not defending, jsut what I think

Exactly what I was thinking. He just stuck the arrows there to show he shot it twice.

How many of us would have shot the buck in the same situation?

That makes a little more sense then.

Sometimes reality is stranger than fiction. Seriously, unless you are quicksilver and are bored at work and delirious from studying, you couldn't make up a story that bizzare[8D]

If I was walking home from hunting and some buck was fighting a deer statue in my yard I would definitely try to shoot it, and if I wounded it and it had the statue fall on it and trap it, then I would finish it off. The only other option would be to release it and let it die a terrible death from the wound.

One time while my dad and I were out hunting, my mom let their dogs out and a MONSTER buck walked within 60 yards of her while she was out with the dogs... Go figure that out. Weird stuff happens. My dad and I saw nothing that morning

I'll give the same opinion I gave the last two times these pics were posted here.Mytake may be hit or miss here or there, but overallhere's how the deal looks to me after listening to the theories, seeing the pics, and using good old fashion logic:

There are many reports of deer trying to gore, fight,or attempt to breedstatues of deer.If this buck in questionhad tried to 'scoop'theconcrete 'decoy'from the side as they usually do when attacking or positioning a doe for breeding, he may have gotten his antlers under the deer and become locked as shown. After getting stuck under the concetedeerit appears hehad been struggling for a while as evident by the bare dirt surrounding the deer in the photos. Anyway, he's trapped andsomeone, most likelythe homeowner or close neighbor, found this buck in a bad situatuton or near deathand called up the "hero" of the story, who comes over and shoots it a point blankrange. At what degree of "alive" it was when he took his shot, if he actually took a shot,is debatable. He sticks another arrow in it to back up aBS story and make it seem like this was an honorable kill to impress the masses. The arrows didn't penetrate very far because they hit the dirt after passing through the buck as he layed on his side. Neither one looks like a definate kill shot either way. Or, it's entirely possible one or both arrowsmay havebeen stuck in by hand.
Version two would be he saw this buck drinking from his birdbath, or trying to interact with the doe statue and he shot it right from his back door and comes up with some crazy plot to justify his kill.

Asthe "hunter"begins to get local praise and pats on the back, his ego overtakes his logic and he begins posting pictures of his conquest which erase all doubts as to the authenticity of his tale, asthe storybecomesobviously bogus from front to back.
Call me skeptical. I call 'em howI see 'em. I might be right, I might be wrong. All I know is either version of my"story" is 100% more likely and believablethan thescript that usuallyaccompanythese pics.
Very respectablebuck. Not sure about the "hunter".

i have a hard time beleiving the concrete statue of that size pinned down a deer of that magnitude, are you telling me that a 200+ deer cant get out from under a 75 lbs statue? Great if it really happened. And there is no way i would ever get that lucky.

I tell ya......

These patriarchs of the forest are truly wiley. It's a miracle we ever kill one of these giant mature deer.

Yep!! Things that you go Humm!! I've seen a lot of crazy things happen and heard some crazy stories the years I ran a check station.

The one thing you learn most Bruisers are killed by a stroke of Luck. When it's their time to go, it's just their time to go
