My shop down the road doesn't have a range. They have some bales outside. The shop further away (25 minutes) has a range.

Jeff buy the building and have the range..! Nice enjoyable side business.

thats not bad NC, so you can go shoot anytime, any amount(shots), for $40.00 a year? I spend that in gas going to Gander twice! Elkin not that from from me either.

I gotta say Jeff, unless you can get leagues with dozens and dozens of people going all year round non stop, indoor 3D is a really tough way to make $$$. First you need to buy or lease the floor space for at least 30 yards indoors, and in a location with good enough traffic to get people in the door, this is super expensive. You typically need 3x as much floor space for the range itself than you do for the actual shop. Then the ongoing cost and upkeep of the targets themselves........it's going to cost a shop 5k-10k to buy 30 quality 3D targets, and then they are going to have to replace them nearly every year. That's a lot of money, when for $30k you can buy yourself a Technohunt system and only pay for 20 yards of floor space that is 12' wide,or simpler yethave some indoor lanes and just run spot leagues.

It's a tough situation, and I hope your shop owner does well in the new location.

We have a 20 yard range that is 4 lanes wide. In it we have a Technohunt system, and also have folding doors to close in front of the screen so that we canwheeltarget butts out that we can do indoor spots and just general shooting with. I know the shop owner would love to do indoor 3D, but it's just not feasible $$$ wise.

That's what my local archery shop (Mastin's Archery, Rhonda NC)told me on Monday. I hear it's pretty crowded a couple of nights a week during winter, but when it warms up outside the 3-D course is set up all the time. It's an excellent deal, as soon as my g/f gets over her fear of shooting in front of strangers I believe we'll join. Esp. since I live 5 miles from it.

Jeff-

That sight looks to be outdated (2003). I'll look in a local phone book and see if I can't come up with a phone number.

Jeff - I don't actually. My dad just told me that you can join through the gentlemen below. I was mistaken about the indoor "range", he said that unless things have changed they only have about a 20 yard shot indoors and it's block targets? If your interested call this guy below and inquire tell him Brandon Nichols told you about it.

Our localshop (Finger Lakes Pro Shop) has a 30 yard indoor range with (I think)twenty lanes. They can also set up indoor 3D. The shop owner told me "If it is slow and you want to shoot 40 yards, we can just open up the double doors and you can shoot from the shopout into the range."
