Well yesterday I went out to my favorite hunting spot to do a little early shed hunting. well after searching for about 15 minutes I walked upon the remainders of the buck thatmy buddy had wounded earlier in the season all i found was him laying there dead. There was no ground shrinkage on him at all. He would bea beautiful deer this year and he was already probably about a 130 size deer. It almost made me wanna puke. When my friend shot him there was no blood on his arrow just some fat and there was also no blood on the ground. we went to the last place that we saw him and he was no where to be seen. Where I found him dead was about 100 yards from where we stopped looking. [:@]It just makes me sick to know that I big buck like that was killed for nothing. but oh well I guess thats what keeps us bowhunters coming back for more

Proof positive that sometimes even a kill shot leaves no blood trail.
I know it is just the way I read it the first time, but I thought "Wow, his buddy lying there dead. That is a harsh penalty for wounding a buck."

I suppose it's part of why we take THOUSANDS of shots in the off-season, and still, nothing is guaranteed. Also part of why all of my shots on Whitetail are limited to 40yds or less, because they can move SO QUICKLY, it's amazing.
