Default Tell me if I am wrong for doing this.

I have a hunter safety system and I put a D ring in the strap on the back and use my summit safety harness rope. I dont like that strap that came with the HSS and I love the rope that came with my summit safety harness. So I just put a D ring on my HSS. Would anybody else do this, it works perfecty.

It's what I use, too.

I love the summit safety harness, I love the HSS (during cooler weather) so I just combined the 2. I believe it is safe, and it is really easy to climb up and down the tree with the rope instead of the HSS strap. Also there is no buckle on hte rope so i can just tie it to my stand and it dont make any noise while I am walking through the woods...

Same thing here, I use the rope with my vest because it's easier to climb with and easier to adjust.
