Do hunters know best?

Look at what is/was happening in Pa. A group of hunters that think they know best sueing the game department and believing Mountain lions were having an effect on the deer population, even thuogh no evidence of a wild population exists.

Hunters do not know best.Although some of us have a pretty good idea and have a lot to offer if our opinions and insights were taken in to consideration.I have never seen a Conservation officer or biologist in the woods in 25 years of hunting.I heard a NYS deer biologist at a meeting three evenings ago (a man that by the way I have tremendous respect for)say that they are using sample sizes of 10% of all the possible data available to make decisions about management. This is probably commonly practiced in many area's of research, but I don't believe that 10% of any thing gives you a basis for conclusions.I know they are doing the best they can.
I think all of us need to be more involved in the process, educating ourselves expressing our opinions. The management by emotion stuff has got to stop.
