Good article in National Geographic that will probably help her out. It focuses on poaching in the African bush where there is seemingly no regulation in place to stop it. Entire species are threatened.

I think most people around here poach cause they have tiny…um, thingies. And poaching makes them feel more manly.

Some poach to bolster their supposed reputations as consistent big buck killers,I know a poacher who drives hundreds of miles every year at night to find and kill big bucks.The guy has been turned in by taxidermists has shot mechanical deer,has been caught baiting and still has a valid license.His offenses are blatant and they still can't stop him.
