Well, its not quite done yet. lol. Im still thinking on this one. I have another going, which is in the oven right now. Ill be finishing it up some time this weekend. This bow will be taking shape probably next week. I just cut the stave last night and rubber banded a riser to it to see what kind of contrasting woods I want to use on it. It will most likely be a walnut core composit with bamboo and a multi wood riser. An R/D long bow with a recurve type riser.

The pic is not all that good. Its just a walnut stave with a chunck of walnut rubberbaned to it with a piece of bamboo, that I finished barrel tappering last night, beside it.

Very cool, how long does a bow generally take you to make?

All depends. One like this, about a week. But if I put more time in, I could complete one in a couple of days. As for a laminate, a little longer. Depending on if Ibuy the lams tappered, or cut my own lams.

Im kinda new to it all. These two will be the 9th and 10th bow. I made a few flat bows in the past, and when my kids came along, I put it all to the side. Now im getting back into it after several years. These are my first reflexed and reflexed/deflexed bows. Which is easier than I had intended.
