Big

This is the first deer my daughter ever killed, she was only 8.We did not find it untill the next year, almost 1 year to the day.Amazingly,it hadn't been chewed on or anything, just slightly bleached from the sun.I have thought about cleaning it up and doing a euro mount but displaying it the way it was found is kind of cool.

I think it looks similar to yours.
Check out the boards she broke for black belt.

Judging from the boards one would think she was a well built child, not the case at all.

You need to employ those tactics from that song that's out now. "Cleaning this gun" I thnk Rodney Atkins sings it.

I know, but it makes me feel a little better knowing she can somewhat defend herself.

Plus her little brother is mean as a snake and got his black belt when he was 7.Should have seen him break that same board.[8D]

Here is what the kilz looks like on them. These Euro mounts are from one year to 10 years old. All done with Kilz and never touched up or cleaned. Top I did this year, middle about 4 years ago, and the bottom is over 10 years old. Still white as the day I did them.

Thanks. You can find it at just about any store. Walmart, or any hardware store. Its just a paint primer. I get the spray kind. One can will do several skulls. Ive done 5 boar head with a can I have right now. I guess it doesnt have to be Kilz brand. Thats the brand ive alway used. Its just an oil based primer.

Oh, one other thing, get the oil based. They make a latex based now, that ive not tried, but I assume it will do like latex paint and start to orange pill over time. That is when the bones start to leech out oil. The same oils that make the bones look yellow after a while. It wont bother the oil based. I made the mistake of using paint one time, with out primer, and the skull orang pilled after about 6 years and made a big mess.
