So.......do you think it is worth the extra money to pay for a no-flash to cut down on spooking deer?...or should i just buy a couple flash models for the price of one no-flash?

Thats all up to you! I just know for me that I'm not taking any chances on the flash so I'll always stick with the no flash.

Only one way to settle this.

This is the truth of it! Fighting leads to killing. And killing leads to warring! And that was damn near the death of us all. Look at us now! Busted up and everyone talking about hard rain. But we've learned by the dust of them all, Bartertowns learned. Now when men get to fighting, it happens here... and it finishes here! Two men enter... one man leaves."
Crowd:"Two men enter! One man leaves! Two men enter! One man leaves!"

Get a grip, GMMAT, you're the one who turns every post into one about you.

I get tons of PMs asking that I not be driven away by you..... fat chance.

I get tons of Pms referring to your self important know it all attitude..... true.

I get more PMs saying that you really don't know what you're talking about......... a lot of times true.

You are simply annoying like the teachers pet.

You don't have enough experience to belittle.

the "loser" was what you were when you compared your 2 seasons to my first 2 seasons.

I did not discredit your Taxi's aging skills, I discredited the method.

Never belittled your hunting around houses etc, just said deer in this habitat may not be camera shy.

Never said you were a liar abour anything......... may have said you are confused, which you obviously are.

You have been personal by calling me legend, first one to start with the name calling..... look it up. I thought it was funny.

No way you serious????

I have got thousands of pictures from my flash cameras andcan't say the flash scares them at all. Camera is set to go off every minute and I get multiple pictures of the same deer. I have sat in the dark and had the camera flash several times and never have heard deer run off from the camera. I will not say it will not scare some deer. But then again the infared cameras may scare an occasional deer. I dont belive there is a total fool proof method of taking night pictures with out the deer knowing something has happened. To each his own but I can't see paying the price for the infared camera when my flash cameras suit my needs very well.

Not to confuse things but I have a Leaf River flash camera an it has spooked deer. I also have a Reconyx RC-55IR camera an ithas spooked deer. The IR seems like it does not spook deer as much but it will sometime. I think it has alot to do with what frame of mind the deer is in when it steps in front of the camera.

Not trying to bein the grapping just responding to the question with some observation from my cams.
