I am confused my original question was "How many use this as aLEGAL tool in your arsenal?" and I am getting responses from where it is illegal. This should not pertain to you or do I need to work
on rewording my questions?
Kinda funny how threads get changed around!
It damn sure is, and it goes on all the time around here.[:@] It's sad.

Thats a VERY informative DVD, I really enjoys it! Everyday hunters that go and FIND the deer people say that aren't there! The shining part of it I have put to good use! Its great!

Fraley, these two guys my friend got game pics of, i got video of them under the light up close. they dissapered about the time the EHD hit the area and were never seen again by any of us. good bucks none the less.

I know where this guy is (was) we spent alot of hours trying to film him under the light, did not get him on film but got some other giants instead, one possable booner.Note his tounge hanging out, Mabey EHD unfolding or he is just licking his chops. no one got or seen him this season.

OH man those are sweet bucks. They need to figure out something for that EHD. I am going to google it just so I can read up on it.

What is "shinning?" Is that going out and kicking them in the shins to slow 'em down before you shoot 'em or what?
That's Hilarious:D

When I did it I would do it more on places I didn't have permission on, then if I saw something that interested me, I'd approach the owners.

It is illegal here in SC now, but a lot of land owners have been fighting the state to bring it back. Personally, I see nothing wrong with it as long as you are doing it on your own private land or on your lease or club.

It is legal in NYS,I havn't done it in many years.I probably should though. We don't have that many fields by me.It would only depress me to see great bucks in area's I couldn't hunt!:D

I spotlight all spring/summer/fall/winter with varying frequency. In any given year, I'd say I see between 2500 and 5000 deer with the lights. If nothing else, it gives me a good barometer of herd age structure, feeding patterns, deer density and buck quality in the areas.
