It's illegal to eliminate the "bad apple" element.

Why is it illegal for law-abiding citizens (with proper permits)to carry concealed weapons in some places?

O/T.....an not my intention. It's illegal here because people would (and DID) abuse it.
the "bad apples" will be out there spotlighting to kill deer whether it is legal or not because what they are doing is illegal either way. And if there is no weapon in the vehicle, you can't abuse it.

Not arguing with you because i think it is illegal here as well, just failing to realize how a vehicle without a weapon can abuse spotlighting deer.

I do a little shining now and then. You can almost expect to be pulled over by a Conservation Officer each time you do it, which is just fine by me. In fact there has been more than once that I have let a CO know where I have seen other shiners working or something that just didnt look right. There is an ever growing case of antler greed around the area, and I'm more than happy to point out anything suspicious I may have seen.

You really get to see some neat things when shining during the peak of the rut.

I agree, Their are few bad apples in everything we do in life.

Jeff we need to do a reality hunting show where me and you swap hunting area's for a week or two. We both would learn a lot about our respective hunting heritage.
My wife comes with me and yours stays down there.;)

Yeah but what you're failing to see is........By making it illegal to spotlight....you take away all the guesswork as to whether someone has a weapon or not. If you're shining.....you're breaking the law.

It was TOO tempting to many, I suppose.

I am confused my original question was "How many use this as aLEGAL tool in your arsenal?" and I am getting responses from where it is illegal. This should not pertain to you or do I need to work
on rewording my questions?

I love spot lighting deer. It's a activity that many people enjoy, I know I do. They thought about making it illegal here in PA but that failed as many nonhunters like to do it as well. Yes, it is used by poachers but poachers are just that and would do it if illegal too.
