My last deer hunting trip with a gun was in1975, it's been bow-only since then... I tell my bowhunting friends who go both ways, (tongue in cheek), that "It doesn't count with a gun."

I shot 1 Doe with a shotgun (First Deer Ever).
27 With a bow.
I will never use a gun to kill a Deer/Elk/Carribou/Bear/Goat/Turkey/Moose ever again. But...if I get to the age where I can no longer pull my bow back, or if I had some sort of injury that would prohibit me from using my bow...well, I can use a crossbow at that point, where applicable.

I seem to get my deer during archery but still like to wander with a shotgun or ML.
Archery is a solo sport and long arms give you a chance to hunt with your buds. It's all good...
