Not all the animals (some were closer) but Alot of the animals that weren't recovered or missed were 25+ yard shots!

4/5 Bow

.800

Missed one doe at 4 yards. Rushed the shot and shot high.

4 other were does and those shots were on the money.

Shot at turkey at 40 yards and looked like a great hit but never found it, I did sneak up on it and it flew off and I figured it wasnt to bad off.
Shot a doe at 20 yards and she died less than 10 yards of where I shot her.
Missed a nice 130-135 class buck at 23 yards, darn that buck fever.

Wow, this post grew some legs. Thanks for the input. There really are some VERY accomplished hunters on here and it makes me want to be that much better. Seems that a lot of the mishaps are because of yardage estimation. Mine definitely were. To iamyourhuckelberry, much respect. You are truly the hunters hunter.Congratulations.

i have harvested all my deer except 1.

so i am .800 overall and 1.00 this season except for one clean miss at 40-45 yards. i wish i had not rushed my shot. and waited for her to come closer or just pass her up

100% this year as far as shooting goes.
Bear Hunt = never shot
1st doe = lung at 20 yds, piled up in about 20 yds
2nd doe = lung at 15 yds, piled up in about 35 yds
1st buck (7 pt.) = lung at 25 yds, piled up in about 60 yds
3rd doe = spine at 3-4 yds, dropped and one more in thelungs, piled at 5 yds
2nd buck (165 inch 8 point later shot during gun season), I will admit I choked
at 30 yards.. Never shot though, drew and just never released.. I didn't want to
miss.. Well, I didn't miss the shot anyway.. :-(
hog at 30 yds = sharp quarter naway;got stomach and lung, piled about 15 yds
