A friend of mine just bought a new 2001 Havoc (last years model, but brand new) for $350. I don't know the prices on those bows, I just know what he paid for his...

I would sat that would be a pretty good deal,if you know the person,and if he takes good care of his equipment.The new Hoyt Vortec's are selling for around $595.00(including 2001 model)the shops around my area are not lowering the prices on Hoyt bows,including last years models.Like I stated,if the bow is in good condition,I would think its a good deal.

Check what they're bringing on Ebay. Seems to be a fair "price finder" generally.

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me. The bow went for $570..brand new...in my area.
