A really good reason for the "books" (P&Y, B&C, etc)
I was watching some random caribou hunt the other day and they finally gave me a really good reason to take part in the trophy hunting organizations. Apparently, years ago the practices of caribou outfitters were not exactly the most ethical (shooting from boats while the caribou are swimming across a lake for example). It got so bad in Quebec that B&C threatened to take the Quebec-Laborador caribou off of its list of trophy big game animals. The outfitters cleaned up their acts in order to keep the caribou on the books for fear that if they weren't considered trophies then no one would hunt them.
Just one of my many random thoughts.

You're absolutely right. P&Y has ticked me off from time to time with their anti crossbow stance, but all in all, these organizations have what's best for hunting and huntersin mind.
