I decided to go with the Beman ICS Hunters...now i've got to decide if i should get 400's or 500's...? I shoot 100 grain

Heh now your confusing me, that wasn't one of your original choices. lol. That's the arrow I now use. Beman is an excellent choice. I don't know your arrow length but mine is 26 1/2inch I shoot the 400 with 125grn muzzy with weight tubes, my arrow weight is 475grn, without the tubes it was closer to 400. If you're hunting mostly deer a 400grn setup will bring down even the largest deer with no problem. I believe you mentioned you were pulling 60 plus lbs so you should have no problem. I use a little heavier setup because I hunt mostly elk and like to have a little more weight. The ics 500 is a lot stiffer arrow, more than you need at 60lbs unless you have an unusually long draw length. elknut1.

T-23.... I shoot the ICS Hunters(340) and like them a lot. You may want to consider doing what I've done. Instead of using the regular ICS nocks, glue in ACC nock inserts and use the ACC nocks.(well, have them cemented in when they cut the arrows) The ICS arrows tend to crack over time at the point where the nock meats the shaft. It's just the continual pounding produced by the force of the arrow smacking a target and stopping. Some of them will split. By gluing in the ACC nock adapters you end up with a much more stable arrow. IT will NOT crack at the nocks. The nocks are smaller, but I think you'll find they're no problem. IT also protects the arrow a little more from being hit by other arrows. The shoulder on the ACC adapter will deflect a close to center hit. IT adds a few dollars but it's worth it in the long run because the arrows won't crack anymore and become unserviceable. ACC on top, regular ICS nock on the bottom.

For the record, the 500 series Bemans are weaker spined than the 400s. Without knowing the length of the arrows, I would think the 400s would be right for your setup.

btomlin: The top one is brand new. Just got a dozen and half done at Lens. The other was an experiment with the 400s but found they weren't worth a flip with my 125 grain broadhead. They never made it to the woods. This one is out of the junk pile.

David, does the acc nock insert come in different sizes?If so which one do you use? Looks like 3 4" feathers on that arrow with a nice helical.Think I'm gonna go that route myself.What rest are you using to get clearance and which one of the waterproofing compounds if any do you use?

Cajun... I have a Muzzy Zero Effect. It really doesn't matter where the feathers are. I used to use this spray that Orvis has for dry flies to waterproof. Now I just bought a big jar of this powder stuff. It works pretty well but won't keep them dry in a downpour.... but they still shoot fine.
