you might want to reconsider that invitation for the Elkin season, there are some brutes over there that have never been hunted. I'm in the process of hanging stands right now for the Jan. 12th opener. The problem is finding multiple neighbors to allow hunting. So far I've got a 3 acre lot and a couple of small areas that are over flowing with deer. Hopefully I can top the 8 that I killed during rifle season.

I don't have a buck tag left. You do know the urban season requires you to use your existing tags, don't you????
If I had a buck tag left....I might consider it.
Hey....keep me in mind for next year!
Honestly.....if you're going....and want someone to go along....I'd consider (Hunting with someone I 'kinda' knew). All I'd be doing is shooting does.
I have a place for the meat. That's the only reason.

I still have one buck tag left that I plan on using during this extended season. My former Manager's lot backs up to a cemetary that is skirted with a natural wooded funnel, full of oaks. There's not alot of area to hunt on this lot, but I'm working on gaining access to a 6 acre hardwood lot that I know holdssomenice size animals.Like I said if you can get permission I'd def. take advantage and keep those ties for next season, you will not regret it.
Two years ago I was traveling right through the middle of Elkin and standing in the Ford parking lot was the largest animal I've ever personally seen alive. I would guess 140"+, absolute monster.

I don't know what your personal views on baiting are.....but I can tell ya.....THAT would be a kick ass time to be baiting whitetails.
Jan-Feb.......and baiting allowed?????? Bucks....does....all of 'em will be looking for a good food source during that time. Good luck.

The feeder is chocked full of corn
. They are def. looking for something to eat. Hopefully (fingers crossed) the g/f got me a digital trail cam. for Christmas, I'll post pics from the feeder after Christmas, if you're interested? I'm hoping that there are some nice deer visiting my feeder. This area is less than a mile from the Ford place LOL..
