RE: Peeing contest about ethics.
I'm not even going to vote. This poll is just another attempt to stir the pot, so I'll just grab some popcorn and sit back and enjoy the show.

ORIGINAL: DropTine249 Um, I think this is going to cause a bit of an "uproar". Shooting young deer is not unethical, if you make a good shot. I mean, if you're starving and you shoot a young deer, you shot a young deer. So how young is young? 2 1/2? 3 1/2? 6 months? |
RE: Peeing contest about ethics.
Both/Neither.
Unless it is anuisance critter, if you shoot something you should eat it/use itor give it to someone who will, whether it carries some sort of trophy quality or not. There. End of debate. |
RE: Peeing contest about ethics.
I say see deer shoot deer. And of top of that, I say do it w/ the lightest, fastest arrow you can find!

RE: Peeing contest about ethics.
It's more ethical to shoot "deer" for herd balance. :)
On long trips, for big game, my family never brought home the rack. It was too heavy for the pack out and you can't eat it. |
RE: Peeing contest about ethics.
Shoot what makes you happy. There isn't anything unethical about either scenario presented in the poll.
