Default Deers Eyesight

So in the guys post about shooting his Coyote, Rob posted a black and white picture of him in blaze orange in a treestand, that got me thinking, what colors do deer see? What colors cant they see? How do you know if your doing a good job of disguising yourself from a deer in the woods with what your wearing? can anyone post a picture of what a deer sees vs. what we see? I know they can see some color i read it in a magazine once but it wasnt very informative.
Im really intrested to learn about this one.
Thanks

Ryan.

Deer, elk, moose and most other hoofed mammals (ungulates) see in shades of yellows and blues (dichromatic or two-color vision) during daylight hours. This is a computer simulation of what we believe to be what dichromacy would look like through the eyes of our prey. Actually this is close, but deer see in more of a yellow/blue spectrum similiar to the photo below my own.

In low light conditions, when these animals are typically most active, they see in one-color vision, or black & white (monochromatic vision) as in this photo.

And of course, as we humans and birds see in full color.

Here's more interesting reading if you will.

According to scientists deer see in sepia tones, like a yllowish or blueish tone. Deer have dichromatic vision and only have 2 cones, humans have 3 cones. Not sure how to tell if your disguising yourself other than try and match your background.
