RE: Mule Kicking Bucks??
ORIGINAL: GregH I've had them do it. Usually the result of a good heart/lung shot. |
RE: Mule Kicking Bucks??
I've had a few deer do it as well. It happens more then we all think. When they have this stuff on video and slow it down, its easier to see this stuff.

RE: Mule Kicking Bucks??
The buck I shot this year did the famous mule kick! Then ran 50 yards stood there for 30 seconds and tried to run sideways did a flip and he was dead!

RE: Mule Kicking Bucks??
I've had 'em go down in 0 yds.....all the way out to an overnight recovery.....and I've never had one mule kick. I've spine shot 'em. I've liver shot 'em. I've double-lunged 'em and I've heart shot 'em.
Never had one mule kick. |
RE: Mule Kicking Bucks??
I have had both instances. My Uncle shot a buck this year that did that, no blood, no nothing, it was a miss. I missed a doe a few years ago like that. Both of these are with a gun. I believe they do it when we shoot just under them, as well as a good, solid hit.
