You guys are the ones who mentioned the "science". When I compared it to "law" you cry foul.....but you "science" guys SURE deal with a lot of "theories" in your chosen field.

I guess it's easy to say what you know is "law"....and what the "other guy" is discussing is "theory".

Here's some free advice..............Have your 21st chromosome checked...........all 3 of them

What a freakin' waste of time.........my cat picks things up faster.

I'm going to shoot the new Bowtechs before I waste anymore of my day.

I don’t have a dog in this fight. I have about 4 SL garments….and the ONLY reason I had them on when I killed my best 2 bucks is……they were ONE of FIVE layers I had on, that day. That’s it.

Did they have anything to do with my success? Probably not. I did other things right, those days (played the wind; was in the right place; etc…).

What makes me laugh is ……we get a scientist for a reputable Univ. (NCSU is no slouch in the scientific field) saying it positively will work ….and that it can be reactivated (to some degree) in a household dryer.

Then…..we get a few guys on an internet hunting website say…..”foul”. You don’t see the humor in that?

I could care less if it works, or not. I’m betting it does “some”, though……or I think they’d never have taken the chance (fraud) they have.

Do I care in the end? Nope.

I own SL and will continue to buy it because it is excellent clothing and camo. I could really care less whether it works or not. I continue to do the things I've always done as far as scent control so if it works even a fraction and only works once, fine. I've never looked at any scent clothing as a cure all or some magical suit. I'm quite happy with the product and I'm guessing the majority of those who've purchased/used it are also. SL seems to be doing just fine and have been for enough years now that if it had been a junk product it would have faded from the market long ago. Plus everyone I know that has used it has bought more of it so it would seem others are just like me, they are satisfied with the product. I could really care less what someone else wears or spends their money on. That's their business and I wouldn't think any less or more of them. One other thing I like about the SL clothing is that it is quite warm. I don't have to layer near as much with the SL stuff. Good luck, good hunting, and have a safe, happy holidays.

i think the detergents and sprays works alittle but you can never get rid of all human scent no matter, what and personally i dont think it really matters, look at Fred Bear, i bet ya he didnt have a scent blocking suit i bet he went out in flannel and jeans, with his long bow, and he shot tons of deer and everything else he shot

I never knew we had so many scientists right here on Hunting.net. I'm in awe that there are so many educated people wasting their time arguing about SL clothing. Also a know it all in our presence too. We are truly blessed to be able to witness such great minds at work.

Some members on here wanted proof or a test on weither it worked or not ........ well here is my test ...........

First of all, I did my test with my beagle. This dog just loved to find me when I was in the woods. When he got down wind, it would not take him very long and he would be sitting at my feet. Believe me, he was very good at finding me.

Well one day, I put on my scent-loc suit and went into the woods, a different entry point then normal and into a different area. I had a friend take the dog into the other end, cross wind to where I was and then release the dog. The dog just loved to hunt smells in the bush. My friend made lots of noise so I would have a good idea of where they were, I had also hid at the base of a bush so I did not outline myself. When the dog did get down wind of me, I could see him take notice and start to scent the air. Did he smell me, yes he did, but he was alot closer to me then normal before he pinned pointed me and my location. He did actually have to work at finding me.

Did the Scent -Loc work at eliminating my scent .......... No it did not ............. Did it help in Reducing my scent ....... Yes it did .......... Would the scent - loc be an advantage to a hunter .... yes it would ......... is it worth the money ........... ? do not know about that maybe/maybe not. BUt if your confidant in your setup, then use it. Confidance is the most important part in you becomeing sucessful.

Now back up this arguenment a little bit. There are some that go well beyond praticallity. They would wash everything in non scent soap, store clothes in air tight bags with pine branches in it for cover scent. Use scent free detergent, soap & shampoo. All of this just to become scent free. BUt then, at the hunt camp the night before opening day, the camp would have their normal meal of CHILI. Like one member said earlier, one little CHILI BOMB and then what is SCENT FREE.

Become confidant in your setup and then you will become more successful. Weither you go over board or use no scent control or not does not matter, just become confidant in how you hunt.

Hey....I thought you were past traditonal deer management. Take him out and bring the ratio back in check!!! [8D]

Think we can get a QDM chat going in a Scent-Loc thread? That would be the ultimate. [&:]
