Shot the Airborne 101st.

Almost forgot to mention......I shot this bow, Monday night.
Admittedly.....I'm used to shorter ATA bows.....but this "feels" smokin hot (fast). Very little hand shock (less than my Allegiance).
When I shot another brand bow.....what turned me onto the Bowtech line was shooting a friend's Allegiance. I could just tell how much faster it was.....while giving NOTHING up in weight, hand shock (or anything else, for that matter). So....I bought an Allegiance (which I'll be keeping to hunt with). I have an 82nd on order (for 3D), but I got to shoot the closest thing to it, Monday night.
It's slingin' 'em pretty good
. I'm looking forward to receiving my 82nd in a few weeks.

I look forward to shooting those bows as well. Ill probably stick to the General for hunting on the ground during turkey season, but the other bows sure sound like they are pretty sweet.

I'm thinking along the Marquis line. The university is usually pretty generous with a Christmas bonus so I'll have to go shoot a long list of bows. That said I'm a big fan of my '05 Victory and I hear that the Marquis is similar only better in every respect.
The Victory will soon be for sale.

I shot the 82nd along with the Guardian, Tribute, Allegiance and Commander. I'm no expert but I was impressed with them. I shot the Allegiance with 80 lb limbs (it was set at 76 lb) and that thing is fast! If I had to pick it would be between the Guardian and Tribute. But I'm buying a Black Ice because I can get it 50% off.
I shot the Marquis too. I thought it was a very nice bow just a little longer axle-to-axle than I like. But everything seems nice compared to my '02 Alpine.

I've shot an Allegiance and a Guardian....IMPRESSIVE is the only word I can come up with.
But....since we don't sell them, guess I'll just have to keep shooting this nasty ole Hoyt....

For you guys that have shot the 101, how is the draw cycle? For me these days I'm more concerned with a balance of smooth draw with adequate speed rather than focusing on one over the other. Hand shock, and noise are not as high on the priority list because they can both be reduced with accessories. With actual speed and draw cycle you get what you get.
Thanks for the info.

Hey I'll be honest......
I haven't shot NEARLY as much as I do in the off-season. AND....I shoot a 70# bow on 66#'s. So.....Yeah...it was a little harsher draw cycle than what I'm used to or somewhat conditioned for at the moment.
But....that being said....it's nothing I'd be concerned about. Even if you turned this thing down to 65 (62?)#'s....it's gonna SCREAM.
