I'm a 4wt guy.....and the streams I fish rarely allow for a lot of false casting. A 17" fish is a whopper, here......but we've got places where a 28"/6lb-er isn't out of the question

my latest thing to occupy my time is bowfishing. you sink an arrow into a 25lb+ carp (or 50 lb grass carp) and you are HOOKED.

During the off season...if you can even call it that...I fish all the time...from flyfishing bluegill(its more fun than it sounds) to crappie, bass, walleye(looking forward to the walleye run this spring)...I'm also planning on working on the patch of woods behind my house, four wheelers have torn it to pieces and there is no wildlife left...so I'm kicking them out and working on repairing the creek bottom...also I'm going to start a food plot to bring some more deer to my area...probably won't hunt there regular season...but it will be interesting to see what is able to survive back there next winter....
