If we're talking 3-1/2 or older, I'm probably 1 for 50 or 60. If we're talking truly mature (in my opinion), 4-1/2 or older, I've seen 5 or 6 total and killed one of them. Quite a difference between a 3-1/2 and a 4-1/2 year old deer.

0/1 - Saw one good 8 that was probably a 4.5 yr old and then nothing but little guys up close (darn EAB!) I struck out this season, still searching for my first bowkill. I may try to get out for the late season a bit. I get done with school for the semester on the 14th, so I got some time after that.

This year alone, I saw one, and he's at my taxidermist.

Seen four 3.5 + on the stand, onethat is preparing himself for the wall of honor in the trophy room.

The past 4 seasons I have I averaged seeing 2 to 3, all during the last week of Oct. to the second week of Nov. Never a sighting during the early part of the season. I have actually stayed away from my favorite stands until the pre rut begins heating things up.

This year alone? That was the question.

GregH's question got me to thinking.....

How many mature (for the sake of this thread....3.5 and older) bucks have you seen from stand, this year. And....how many have you killed.

I'm 1/1.....and I've sat nearly FIFTY sits.
