I did not see the show yesterday, but it sounds like the one that cardeer mentioned. I'm guessing it's the same hunt from last year. They said she had the flu, missed her first shot, and had the cameraman help pull back for the second shot. It was definitely a circus. I can't believe they would air something like that on TV.

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quotequote:
It's getting so the shows are less and less normal run of the mill hunters.

What do you want? If you wanted run of the mill hunters we'd be suffering through live on-air farting, 4:00am jelly rolls and cussing.

I agree a terrible show the way she pulled the bow back and the hit wasn't a good shot at all just my opinion.

I saw this show yesterday as well and I couldn't believe it. I did notice that when she finally got the bow pulled back and after the camerman reached up and put the arrow back on the rest for her that the camera zoomed in on the deer and she was no longer in the picture. It made me wonder that since she had so much trouble with this bow if there wasn't a third person there with another bow that actually shot the deer, since you never see her shoot the deer because the camera zoomed in on the deer. The shot placement was very bad as well with poor penetration and made me wonder if someone with a rifle wasn't nearby to finish it off.

Yes, that was gregorys wife. the announcer said that they take turns hunting and filming as Gregory put the arrow back on the rest.

Terrible shot/poor penetration.

You know I am getting bored myself with all these Outdoor Channel programs. There are still a few that maintain a standard but most are like Davidmil said, getting caugt up in this politically correct crap! I made a bad shot and took my doe this year with a spine shot, regretted it all year, got deer fever and shot the deer not the spot. When I see these shows I feel like some of the rest of you why don't they film us! Anyway, can't remember what show I saw, and I mentioned it on another post about the female archer that shot through the decoy with the arrow to hit the gobbler. They said great shot, I was throwing things at the TV set and thinking what kind of idiots do they take us for, it was to say the least unsafe, had the arrow deflected it could have richocheted anywhere and then it could have caused a poor hit on the gobbler. Well anyway that is my two cents, but then I am sitting here judging and unlike these folks, and some talk show hosts, I am judging and critizing them!
