Man-Cave / Gameroom ideas

Just got the go-ahead. Gonna be remodeling my basement and the main room is going to be my gameroom/mancave. I'm really interested in what some of you have done with the following:

1) Ceiling
2) Flooring
3) column cover ideas

Love to see some photos.....

On a serious note. It sounds like a cool idea, good "bow room" opportunity. That's atleast what I would do. I remember buckeye having a pretty cool basement/bowroom. Also Greg/MO. Those are two that stick outin my mind.

I've had the go-ahead to redo mine for years, I just need the get-up-and-go to do it.
That and my lack of ideas, has kept mine pretty bare and ugly.

I'm interested in seeing ideas too.

Depends -

1. How big is the room?
2. How tall is the ceiling?
3. What mood do you want the room to bring out?

C'mon man give me some of what you want and your budget and I'll give you some ideas.

I'll get some measurements.

I have the walls covered. One will be from my College Baseball. One will be from myPGA days. One will be the fridge/bar area. One will be the new TV/etc...

I'll measure the ceiling height, too....but the "Roof" is the bottom of my floor joists;).

I'll get the measurements and post in a minute.

Do you have enough clearance to vent for an indoor shooting range?

The only few ideas that I have, that I know for sure look good are:
1. Half camo wallpaper and half wood on the walls
2. Antler lamps and chandaliers
3. Outdoor themed light switch covers, etc.
4. Of course you need some mounts and nice outdoor pictures in there to!

I am thinking alot of high definition at about 70" and surround sound.

Alot of knotty pine stained natural would be cool for the bottom 3rd of the walls. Cork board flooring looks good and you could put in round coulmns to cover your post and paint them up like tree trunks.

i've done a few. Working on mine right now but it's a one room building in the woods with a big picture window over looking the same. In a basement I'd go with lighting and art work that inspires the spirit. Make it comfortable. A fireplace is great. Gas is possible if you provide an outside air intake. Nothing like a warm room nap to bring on sweet dreams of great hunting trips to come.:D

Post covers? Sounds like you know more than your letting on with that lingo.:DSome very classy one's out there. Pad the carpet. It aint popular. Insist on it. It will mean taking care of any moister problems first. I've used a product called Duralok. Turns a concrete floor into a wood surface.

Good naping!
