i dont mind if people gun hunt as long as its ethical. i mean im going with a gun for part of the day tomorow and then to bow another part of it. it can depend on the species and locations and weather all sorts of things to consider

Everybody's entitled to their opinion. In MINE....Post like Atlas's and GregH's (and KIDD's) are great, BECAUSEthese guys have been here for years....and have sort of "earned the right".
I'm in favor of double-standards.

If one of the "regulars" shoots a nice gun buck, I wouldn't mind seeing it - b/c everybody knows those guys. However, when I see BigBuckGuy987203 or some schmuck that nobody's ever heard of - posting pictures of his gun kills (with a post count of 3) - Moveit to the gun forum.
I have been here a very long time too..... It comes across that GMMAT and Fran want some sort of special treatment or something based on the number of posts they have or the number of years coming here. How many posts should one need to be considered a part of the family?

Fran and Jeff, don't get me wrong maybe your intentions are good, but it doesn't look that way in type. I think your both good guys. Like I said where would you draw the line and consider someone "valid to post pics of gun killed deer" Do we all vote them in?

I think you all should read PABowFlinter"s post on the page before this one. Second paragraph.

Steve Excellent post. Nevermind I'll post it again.

When a person kills a deer, they want to share it with those who are closest to them. If we (the Bowhunting Forum) begin to start shunning those family members to another forum, simply because they killed their deer a different way, I think that is sending the wrong message. The link between all of us shouldn't be broken, simply because some of us choose different weapons at times.

I think this is making a mountain out of a mole hill. Let the Moderators handle what goes and what stays.

Maybe you don't understand......

There used to be NO gun kills posted in the forum. I just noticed there seemed to be a lot posted, lately, and asked what everyone thought of it.

I could care less.....I don't gun hunt....and it'll NEVER affect me. I was making an observation.

So long as it doesn't become every other post being gun kill, bow kill, gun kill, bow kill. Although I'm interested in someone's gun kill I come here to read about bowhunting. I check the other forums daily so I will get the info there anyway. Just don't let it become overkill.

Bowhunting is bowhunting and gun hunting is gun hunting. So I think you should post yer kills in the appropriate locations. You could always come on and say hey go check out the buck I killed in the gun hunting forum. Or just put a link up on here so it is easier for us computer illiterates.

i would find it only fitting to put gun kills in another section and leave this to the bowhunters, although we may be one in the same and love em either way it is for bowhunting

I could care less, there is so much crap in here that has nothing to do with bowhunting or deer hunting for that matter that it seems trivial to argue this point. And I am guilty of it as well, so I'm not pointing any fingers.

Heck, why don't we just have a seperate forum for posting pictures of killed animals? Then we don't have to worry about what section they go in. Maybe some people don't want to log in and see pictures of dead animals? Maybe they should make a password protected area since they are graphic pictures? Maybe we shouldn't have pictures in the threads at all, just link them to another place. That way those with slower computers or connections don't have to wait 10 minutes for a thread to load.

Or maybe just don't click on them if you don't want to see them? Na, that would be too easy.
