I will take does for 1. If 3 presents itself then I take that. But, after 1 its all about 3.

3 but I want a mature, old buck. Then 1 after that, which is what im hunting for now

1. Hunt for meat
2. Take a buck
3. Take a trophy buck

That is the order i due it in .I have way more does in my area than bucks and even rarer huge bucks

#1 enjoy every hunt, wether or not I take a deer!
#21 or 2 for meat
#3enjoy watching small ones walk bye as I wait for a shooter buck!

I'm all about 3. In the process I shoot does for mgmt. and donate most of the meat. A quest. for some of the guys who put 2 then 3, If you're shooting 2s then how are they supposed to get to be 3s? Not passing judgement, just know that I dont shoot just any buck just to say I got a buck, and then hold out for a "good" one. I would rather shoot does(helps the herd too) than just "any" buck.

None of those really fit any of my priorities... For me, it goes something like this;

1.) Be closer to God.
2.) Spend time with my dad.
3.) Have fun.

Anything after that is a bonus, really. It doesn't really answer your question though.

The 2s that i shoot don't have good genetics to become 3s. I don't want them to reproduce.

To me it's all about #3 then #1 to fill friends request for venison.
