You can get free access from most hotel/motel parking lots as well as half the businesses out there. All you need is a charged up lap top and awireless card.Very few protect themselves.

thanks everybody - i appreciate the hints and tips (as i always have) but i just can afford the internet right now. and its not worth loosing my job (turns out its called "theft of time"), or spending a bunch of money for laptops, and wireless cards and such. call me old fashion but i dont have cable either

im sure any chance i get (like now) i'll check in and read up on whats goin on, and as soon as i do decide to buy internet service this will be one of the first sites i go to!

depending on your location, i have 2 or 3 desktops you can have.

I would quit work

at my local k mart they have computers for internet use. they limit you to 1 hour use. use your hunting skills and ask around.someone is always giving a computer away. you can get a used cheap laptop for 100$ or less like i have . its a compaq evo n600. works great! dial up service should be free or just get a 20$ wireless card and hang out at mcdonalds. some of them have service.
