Last week of archery season here in Va and all the yahoos will be out sat. with guns/dogs.. I hunted a spot last night that is under development for housing. At 4:54 a scrub buck came in at 2 yds and I let him walk by. Then 30 seconds later a doe came in on his same track and stopped at 13 yds. I let the Muzzy fly, it hit her square in the shoulder blade and went through both blades and out the other side. She almost fell after 10 yds, but she stayed on her feet for about 100yds and then she expired. This land may not be here for me to hunt next yr and it could have been my last trip there, so I thought I would get some meat and go out with a bang!! Or a whack!!!!!!!!!

Cool, congrads on the deer. It's always nice to finish any season with a bang - or whack! My season will be done in WI for awhile. I may try to hunt late bowseason, but probably won't be able to, so for another year I archery tag soup. Lucky I have a chance to redeem mself and put some meat in the firdge with the rifle.

Congrats. I am still skunked, but have seen a ton of deer this year. Last night, I called it quits, walked to the house, changed quickly and was headed out to the store for milk. Walked out to the truck with my son and there was a doe not 75 FEET from the truck. IN OUR YARD. I swear they are teasing me.

That is too funny!! Ok, here is what you do... stand on top of your truck and wait, when she comes in tonight, whack her!!!!
