I've put the time in and and have not been rewarded thats for sure this year. Ive had 2 deer within bow range, doe and her fawn and couldn't get drawn she caught some mvmt and gone, have yet to see a buck. Maybe 5 does sighted at 100 plus yards. When I say i've put time in i'm talking probably 50 plus hrs. Just a pathetic yr but I guess it only takes 1 minute to turn your season around so back at it after breakfast. Hope today is the day at least the weather is perfect today here in New York

Thats why its called hunting and not getting! Everyone has them years sooner or later.

I know its hunting its just a little frustrating when you spend the time all summer scouting, food plots etc and your just not seeing any for me seeing is the greatest,.I agree its not about the kill So I will plug on cause time in my tree is better than time in front of the tv or work

You know, I did tag out, however, in my honey holes, I saw 2, that's right 2 legal bucks this year, last year I saw/had a dozen in bow range, this year, 2 and one was the broken rack buck I tagged. I guess I made the right decision.

it was like that for me then all of a sudden i saw a herd of deer and i got a doe. then it was dead for a month again then i see a lot of em but the ones that met my standards were to far out. but the first 2 months i saw like 4 deer. just get out and it will pay off

95 plus hours for me. I can't call it the worst year. I did pass on deer. But my goals weren't/aren't met yet. BUT, the day that I complain about spending time in the outdoors is the day I am done with it. Keep your head up and your butt in the woods. Good luck bud.
