Yours sounds more like mine than a sneak. The buck he had in the shop had his ears back in an aggressive position. Head was down, too. I got mine that way without the ears being pinned back.

Jeff, I'm not familiar with the size of the deer down there. However, 22" for a neck or form measurement is pretty decent. From the pics, he looks pretty big and has that roman nose look to him. Mature deer for sure. I'm sure you know that the further north of the equator you go, the animals get larger (Bergman's rule). Up here the deer neck or form sizes go from 22" (early season) to 28" (full rut) for the deer I've had mounted. 24" being the average size. Deer taken in Canada are even larger.
