Keep at it quick, the first buck I ever killed in Ohio was on public land. I wish you well.

I'm having a really bad day, and that was a nice distraction.

Great story man, better luck next time!

Yep brother, Good story. Keep it up. You keep hunting those two hot scrapes and you'll get another crack at a nice buck. I watched a 110" eight point walk the field edge and check 4 scrapes on Monday morning. He walked within 5 or 6 steps from my tree. He didn't even know, at that point, that his life was in my hands. Needless to say he got a free pass. I'm waiting on his daddy!!! The action is heating up fast. I'll be out in the morning..... Nanny whacking!!!

Truth be known, I'm not even sure I'd shoot him if I saw him again. Deep down... He's just not the buck I'm after.

Beautiful deer - wallhanger to a lot of people - but this morning, I woke to a beautiful sunrise, happy to still have a virgin buck tag. Never felt so good about a clean whiff.

Don't get me wrong, if he comes around again, his life will be hanging in the balance - b/c there are a lot of reasons why I should clean his clock the second I get another opportunity.

Hopefully, my next encounter with a nice buck will be a stone cold lead pipe lock boss hogshooter. Not another tweener. [>:]
