Hi, I am looking into buying a new hunting bow. I would like something relatively short. Do you guys know any bows under $450?? I don't want to start another Mathews vs. Hoyt debate.....by the way..I shoot a Mathews MQ1 currently.

Are you looking at new or used? Do you already have all the accessories, or do you need to buy those in your budget as well?
You can find a lot of good deals on one and two year old mathews on ebay. I've been considering buying a second bow so I don't have to bring one back and forth to Alaska all the time while I'm living down south. Ebay has some of the better deals from what I have seen so far.
I'm a diehard mathews person, so you don't have to worry about me starting this to be a mathews bashing thread, however... about them hoyts...

I think that you can't go too far wrong with a Martin the one that I have has servedme well and is only about 30in cam to cam. you could spend a lot more money on other bows but for my money I like the Martin. Good luck and remember practice is what makes the difference. Practicew Practice Practice and Be SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ever consider a Champion bow? I paid $350 for my Stratus this past spring. Its a 36" ata, but they make shorter yet like the Mustang & Hurricane. I saw their new 2003 lines are out now, and don't offer my Stratus model anymore, but take alot of like. www.Championbow.com
