How often do you hunt a single stand?
#1
Looking for some input on how often you hunt a single stand as I could not get a second one up this year and have been able to hit it once a week for the past three weeks. I like to keep the pressure light on the deer but wonder if it wouldn't hurt to hunt it two days in a row like I used to last year.

If there is one thing thats really changed in my whitetail hunting over the past 15 years its that I have so many more options these days. I may hang 5-10 stands/ground blinds...etc...just in and around one bucks area to cover all my bases on winds and his movement patterns.. This allows me to only hunt an area when every thing is right, no cutting corners. Its more work but I really feel like its tougher for him to catch onto me as easy or at least I keep him guessing...
all this to say, I doubt I hunt 1 stand more than 8-10 times in a single season.. Aug-Dec... Not the case for me years ago were I felt I pushed stands to hard.. and deer really caught onto me...
today I know they still catch on and I can usually sense it right away.. I make sure I move or let it rest for a while..
Good luck

If it's a hot stand and the wind is right, I'll hunt it alot. Generally though,I tend to move primarily with the wind, but if I am spotted, I also try to make location adjustments.
