Ended up pouring rain on Saturday morning, so we slept in and got work done on the cabin instead. Headed to the PA HNI lunch and when we got back got into the blind late. We ended up watching a small 6 pointer coming into the food plot to check for does, and we got to watch him scrape and use some licking branches at around 50 yards. Nothing on Sunday morning, I think it's going to take a few daysfor this moon phase to cycle a bit to get good action in the mornings again.
I can't wait, this Saturday is the beginning of my annual 9 day hunt and things should be prime right about then. As of now, the extended forecast looks fantastic as well with lows in the high 20's to low 30's, and highs during the day in the 30's to 40's.

Those are some great bucks Mike. Congrats to your buds. That 8 point is lucky it was you in that tree and not me or he would have been in trouble.
Things are finally starting to heat up here. I saw a little buck chasing a doe on Saturday right under my stand. Later this week should be good.

According to everything I know about whitetails and moons and mating and chasing: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this week - may be some of the best days of the year to be in the treestand.
Mike - Itook a pass ona buck in Ohio yesterday that could have been that 8 point's twin brother. A little less on the G3's, with an inch or two moreon the left G4 - and knock 1.5" off of each main beam. Officially the nicest deer I've ever passed on.
