This weekend? (Pics Added)
Anyone having any luck this weekend?
Things are REALLY pickin up here in MO!
Two of my buddies killed bucks recently, both P&Y deer. One last thursday, one this morning. (Ill add pics when i get them)
Heres pics of the first one that they think will go in the upper 130s. I should have better pictures soon.
I paseed on a really nice 8 pointer yesterday morning that walked RIGHT under the stand and saw quite a few bucks "seeking" does. Seems like the deer are really on their feet recently and its only gettin better!
Heres a couple pctures from yesterday morning.

RE: This weekend?
Things are really heating up here in Illinois as well, now that the temps have dipped a bit. This morning I had 3 smaller bucks pass bybefore 7:30. I'm hunting with Dad this weekend so I'm back for lunch and then we'll be back at for the afternoon hunt. Things are gettin' ready to go full bore here in West-Central Illinois.

Oh yeah, it's definetly heating up here in MO. My buddy and I saw 7 different bucks this weekend, 3 of them being mature. One of those in the 150's.....Didnt' get one though, back at it this weekend.
Congrats on the fine deer, once again.

Yeah, it must really be heating up because I was able to nail one on Sunday. He was no brute(compact 8 pt), but as big as I wanted for the mile plus trek back to the vehicle.

According to everything I know about whitetails and moons and mating and chasing: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday this week - may be some of the best days of the year to be in the treestand.
Mike - Itook a pass ona buck in Ohio yesterday that could have been that 8 point's twin brother. A little less on the G3's, with an inch or two moreon the left G4 - and knock 1.5" off of each main beam. Officially the nicest deer I've ever passed on.
