Here in Kansas... not only do they build shabby ass wooden treestands.. They also think that pushing deer through cornfields with a bow is a good idea. So, my public land spot is ruined because the majority of the hunters in this state don't know their asses from a hole in the ground. I had 3 trucks park next to mine.... 5 guys walking around 3 without camo... 1 without a weapon... and the other guys parked themselves within 40 yards of me and set up. I know most of the good hunters that put the time and knowledge into it around here... but the low lifes and the poachers around here kill it for every one else.

It's Corp land on a Corp lake and I don't think it has same restrictions as WMA's.
Around here the Regs are the same on Corp Land as othewr Goverment Land, you can't Damage Trees.

Had some guys by my Cabin at the Lake, cut a Trail for ATV's which their not to ride on Corps Land anyway.Well they was fined $22,000 for cutting the trail.

I hunt public land and I fully understand the problems that come with it,
Evadently you don't . Expect anything. I once sawwhat turned out to bea body being dumped on public land. Didn't know it at the time but when the police showed up at my door a few weeks later I did.

My favorite is the guy that comes in late, lights up a cigarette, walks around for 30 minutes andscares everything in sight and goes home.
