What is it during bow sesaon? I wake and think its too early and go back to bed.

I hop out of bed like a shot if I know I'm going hunting and I set my alarm hours to early.
After a few days of solid rain with the wind blowing like a banshee the AM can't come to early. Gonna have a light 3mph breeze out of the north and the woods will be damp and quiet.
The only problem is theSox don't start till 8:30 which is very close to bed time.

This is easy, I just ask the wife, you want to fool around. No to early why don't you go hunting. Why didn't I think of that.

My old lady resembles a coma patient at 4am, so I am guaranteed to be going hunting......Hehe

What do I think of? .....Is this gonna be "THE" day, of course. The day that makes mywhole hunting career. The hunt that dreams are made of.....

The first thing I think of when I wake up,is how I shouldn't have killed that small 7pt, thinking he was a nice 8pt, at last light on Sat.A lesson learned the hard way, andhonestly, I'mbeside myself over it. I I'll be hunting the rut in Pa with my video cam instead.[&o] I needed to vent!:D

early...If killing a buck means that much to you, fly into Norfolk and I'll put you on another...I only ask that you also kill 2 does...I do prefer that the rack has at least 8 points and extends past his ears, but I won't get mad if it doesn't...

I'll say it again, hunt for the meat and you will enjoy it that much more...In most areas, we really need to thin the doe herd...I do it because they eat my beans, peanuts, corn and wheat, I have seen as many as 50 deer in a 30 acre field....
When I started 15 years ago all we had were scrub bucks...It's paying off, we killed some nice 8s, 9s and 10s last year and we have more bucks chasing does during the rut than ever before...

First thing in the morning you can't keep me in bed. What usually goes through my head isn't the same at what doesn't. Even though I set everything up for my hunt the night before I still manage to run around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to figure out everything I need to do. But first, above all else, I just step outside for a bit and get a good judge of what kind of day it's going to be

About 25 years ago, when I lived in Statesboro, GA, I was discussing deer hunting with one of the salesmen at one of my Deere dealerships...I asked him if he hunted and he looked me straight in the eye and said..."Why in the world would I leave a warm, naked woman in the bed at 5 in the morning to go deer hunting???".....I laughed until I cried....

I learned a few months later that he was on his 4th wife.....:D

I'm 64 and have hunted since I was 8. It's been the same every year. First thing when I wake up I think of peeing.

The first thing I do is get right out of bed because if I don't im liable to fall asleep again. Once up I usually watch some crappy tv because as most of you know theres nothing on at this hour and drink a cup of coffee. I always set my alarm for way earlier than I plan to get out just incase I can't find equipment like my release aid or grunt call ect :)

Heckfooling around with the old lady is the last thing on my mind when i wake up.
The only thing i`m thinking about is making a pitstop by the bathroom and getting to to coffee pot as soon as possible.
