Default Deer leave?

Hey guys just a quick question

I live in upstate NY and shot a medium 8pt on monday the 22nd but couldnt recover the dam thing. I was up their for about 4 hrs monday night looking for it with3 other peopleand was wondering if that and the wounded deer wandering around would scare the other deer enough so they wont come back to that 3 acre area for a while. Their bedding heavily in that small area. It rained all day on tuesday dumping about 2 inches of rain on that area. So I know are scent is gone but I was just wondering if all that commotion and the wounded deer would be enough for the others to notcome around that small area for a while. Because in that case I'll move my tree stand. I know their is other deer in that area becuase I passed up a 5pt from that spot and saw a big 8 about 75yards from it.

Thanks for any help

The buck probably went somewhere and laid down, as long as he wasnt bumped, the other deer are not going to expect much happened.

Seems to me you should be more worried about trying to recover the buck you did shoot and not worry about the other deer in the area. Maybe find someone with a dog that can help with the track, unless you are 100% sure it wasn't a fatal hit.

Where the dogs trained for tracking deer? If not find some that are. I believe it is legal there. 4 hrs at night is not enough time to spend looking for a wounded deer, imo.
