The MOON

Deer are active even when there's not a full moon. Many beleive that if the moon is up, which it often is during day time, the deer will be active. During full moon phases, late morning can be a good time to be on stand.

Last year I decided to try the advice that I had heard and read on the forums about hunting the middle of the day during the full moon. I got on stand last year at approximately 11AM and sat until dark. I saw the most activity between 12 and 2PM that day and then it settled down until last hour of light.
Now I'm sure this won't always be the case, but after what I experienced last year, I will atleast hunt a couple midday's when the moon is full each month.

I shot my buck on the full moon - Nov 5 - last year. Then I saw an even bigger shooter buck that evening.
In the days leading up to it, hunting was amazing. I saw like 5 different bucks and a bunch of does.
Full moon is Friday, right? I don't think it was tonight, but the moon was out early.
i'll try tomarrow after I go goose hunting.
