I've used one before. Worked as described.
I had deer look at it cautiously when the leaves are off the trees. The sound of raindrops hitting it catches their attention sometimes too. But I was dry, so it worked overall. If you absolutely must hunt a day in the rain, they are well worth it.

livbucks, I've found it sounds the same as leaves when it rains...never had an issue of deer noticing me more or less with it.

They work great. I left it up in a tree all year that I hunted with a climber. Trouble is I never got back to that tree to get it down[&:]. I think DavidMil or Len has it now.

YUP, they do work. If rain is threatening I carry one with me. I don't know how many years I've had one of these things. I still have my original one that was a different brand but I suspect the same patent now under a new name. I lost the bottom part of it but it still works. I bought a new one this year because they're a little bigger now and keep you dryer. My old one if you sat your knees got wet.

Works good, I ocasionally had a small drop reach my back from the trunk of the tree, but it actually makes sitting in the woods in light rain rather enjoyable.

I use one and it is well worth being a PITA.

I did extend the threads down the screw so the back of the umbrella sits against the tree and stops any water from comming down the tree and onto my back.

Not really a big pita. I just dont like the sound of the rain hitting it. It sort of drives me CRAZY when you listen to it for a while. But I am a dry crazy.

They work great. I've used one for over 2 years now. You'll be in the woods while most are back at camp and you'll be surprised how much deer movement there is when it is raining.

One warning though, get one with the wind vents. If you don't have one with wind vents and you get a stiff wind, the thing is likely to invert. I'm talking from experience here.

They work well unless it is a terrible Storm. I also want to try mine as a turkey blind.
