Too much wind?
What do you consider too windy to hunt?
|
RE: Too much wind?
When the tree next to me snaps in half, and yes it has happened:eek:
|
RE: Too much wind?
If the trees are dancing around too badly for me to feel safe in them. Generally that's around 15-20 mph....that's just me though.

RE: Too much wind?
I think that if you are bowhunting and cant hit what you are aiming at cause of the wind then there is no reason to go hunt.... unless you just want to bring a camera or something.

RE: Too much wind?
Wind alone would never stop me from hunting, although it would change the way I hunt.
If you've got standing corn, try stalking a deer in it! It's a blast. |
RE: Too much wind?
when the tree your in starts swaying to much and it will seriously effect your shot than it is to windy for me
|
RE: Too much wind?
When too many large limbs are being snapped off making it dangerous to be in the woods.
Often times When its windy, I still hunt, just not from a tree. |
RE: Too much wind?
When birds start falling from the sky due to overexertion.:D
Pretty much what everyone else said. If the tree I'm in is swaying back and forth badly then I'll climb down. However, I do like to stalk while its windy. |
RE: Too much wind?
Thanks for the replies, I was kinda getting at, Do you think it curtails deer movement above a certain velocity?
|
RE: Too much wind?
Depends. IF you have funnels or cliffs/ledgesto hunt, wind can be your friend. If you are on flat land, it sucks.
