I am sure your situation is an isolated one and I would be surprised to read something similiar from anyone else owning summits. My summit backpacker climber has been fantastic, sturdy and 0 problems.

sound like they treated you good for no reciept i toke a pop up out out house blindback two years ago to walmart that a pole broke on it in 10 mile an hour wind after 4 uses
they refused to exchange it because it broke from wind and apperintly there not made for use in wind
i had to buy one then take it back
