Default will he be good in a few years??

Do you think he will be a good looking deer in say 2-3 years. Alos this brings up the questhion how old is he? I think about 1-1 1/2. This would be my first buck im 16 and would really like to get a good buck and he is right around my stand alot but I dont want too take one and regreat it later. So what do you guys think?

He is 1.5. It's really up to you man. If you have been hunting for 4 years with a bow and this is just the first buck you have come in close contact with, but shot some does, if it was me I'd wait. But if he would be your first bow kill, then maybe you should smoke him. Good luck in whatever you chose. I think that the pivotal year in his development will be next year. It's really hard to tell at this age.

No doubt he's only a 1.5 year old. He's about identical to my first with a bow when I was around 23. He certainly will be a good buck in 2-3 years however I would not fault you for taking him as your first with a bow nor would I fault you if he was your 10th with a bow. The decision to shoot him or not is yours but don't do it if you have doubt, only take him if you'd be proud. Good luck on your decision, regardless I'll congratulate you on a great first trophy with a bow.

He's 1 1/2 and yes he will probably be a good buck in 2-3 years, but for your first with a bow........he's good enough right now! Besides in 2 or3 years it is unlikely he will be hanging around in the daylight like he is now, so your odds of killing him later greatly diminish once a buck hits 4 years old he's a totally different animal!
