i have hunteda spot three time seen 3 the first time 2 the second and five yeasterday
one on the first 10/04/07seen me when she was comeing straight in on me
and one came around in front of me 15yards outbut before i could get a shot he got behind a tree then i had aaccidental release on the her
the second day 10/05/07they wear out in a field and
the third day 10/10.07they were all around me to the right in front and to the left but did not seem to come by me
and there are 8 trails with in 15 yards of my stand and about two dozen that up off those 8
why are they not comeing by my stand is it just because theyjust are not . or could it be becauseof the first hunt they know i am there and know i wont to eat them . I have rattled alittleand called some they look around but keep going the way they wont
the area is hunted very little should istay out for a bit if so how long

bigtim,
How are they acting? Are they on alert or just minding their own business? If they are just milling around but not by you, you may want to think about moving your stand closer to where you are seeing deer. If they are on alert, then the jig is up and you (for some reason) are being busted and you need to take a step back and look at the whole situation to see why you are being busted.
Hang in there it will happen.

Oh, another thing...... Try to stay away from the different urines for a day or too, just use a good earth cover spray and watch the wind direction especially getting into your stand. This may be obvious but don't walk through the area you are seeing deer. The urine believe it or notmay be actually keeping them away.

haha, no..but seriously bigJ asks some good questions...ill wait for your answer to this. You may just not be on the main trails. You might be on secondary trails that they dont use as much...
Good luck

the first day thefirst doe seemed ok just mulling around then she saw me i had camo shirt and jacket on but no pants just blue jeans i think she seen me she looked at me and stomped the ground snortedand run off i bought some camo fabric and now you can not see anything below my chest
the rest seem to just mull around like they have no care in the world . they come all around o moving my stand might be hard since the move all over expect were.
i am i thought about not useing the urine for a few days.
i did not go out today thought i might give them a few days

My personal experiences I have had bad luck with urine type cover sents. I have been using fresh earth type sents for the past 5 years, as some guys have stated before. I had 3 does walk up behind me when I was about 10 feet off the ground climbing into my stand. They were within 15 yrds of me and never spooked. They finally just walked away. Also make sure you breathe through your nose and not your mouth. Just my personal experiences....Good luck.

It could be several things or just one main one. It's kind of hard for us to tell whats going on because we can't actually see how they're acting towards you. After reading one of your posts about being too big for a safety harness, one of the first things come to my mind is being silouhetted (sp?). If you're not hunting from a really wide tree they may be seeing you. The secondcould be(I'm not trying to be an arse)your scent or sweat. I know that you said that you use spray and scent products, but it definitely doesn't hurt to spray down really good after settling into your stand. I'm around 170 lbs and depending on the day I'm usually sweating like crazy after walking to my spot. I always spray down with some scent killer after the hike in

Id try a different cover scent. Coon urine is considered an anti-ground, not sure why but it is. Try some fresh earth cover scent. Sounds to me as they have you pinned. Find alternate ways in and out of your stand. As for the coverscent, if you dont have coons in that area, why use coon urine???
