Default Last minute bowhunters

Had to go to Wal-mart tonight to pick up some things. Well, I always take time to at least walk by the hunting section to scope things out. Its MIND-BLOWING the amount of people buying broadheads and arrows the day before season! AND then they wonder how come they missed their deer or injured it. I didn't make it to the pro shop but I'm sure they hadquite a few of bow sales today.

Last year i was at the bowshop the night before season picking up some scent killer there was a guy in there buying a bow for his son to hunt with. I asked him if his son was going to use it tomorrow he said yea we're going in the morning. I laughed to myself and walked away. Those are the kind of people that make the sport look bad. Uneducated and idiots.

Yeah the pro shops in my area say they sell alot of bows the day before
the season. Some people just don't understand archery and the consept
of practice practice practice then practice some more.

Oh my God!!!! That has to be one of my biggest pet peeves, I cant stand that part of bowseason,, so many people are so uneducated and unethical about hunting it just makes me sick. I actually work with some guys who when they lose a deer,, they simple shrug and say "coyotes gotta eat too!" It make my blood boil every year. I used to wonder how it seemed like some guys like that were always getting shots at deer, when I wasnt getting to shoot,, and then I realized they dont have shots either, they just shoot anyway,... Heres another one I love.."You cant kill it if you dont shoot at it!" [:@][:@][:@]

Man, the week leading up to season was HELL at the shop! "What do you mean you can't have my arrows built by tomorrow?" "WHAT? You can't put a new string on my bow RIGHT NOW WHILE I WAIT??"

I couldn't believe how many people brought their bow in with busted strings, and said they just looked at their bow since last season....amazing.

Maybe all the chain stores and local proshops should ban archery items this close to season.
