Congrats teammate on your first archery deer. I remember mine like it was yesterday. I'm looking for you to put some antler up for team 21. Now you know your archery tackle works.

Ditto.
My first was a little doe... meant as much to me as any buck I have ever taken.
Congrats Ice... Let's keep laying them out for team 21. You should post on our thread too... just so we can keep a running tab on all kills for the team.
Nice work... i have taken a few buttons too... no worries.

Congrats!!! The first one is always emotional. Great job. But one thing that gets me, you said you couldnt tell it was a button buck from 15 yards??? You couldnt see the nobs on top of its head from 15 yards? I dont know about yoursetup and maybe the head was behind some trees ok. Im not trying to put your deer down cause thats a heck of a button buck, good body for a young deer. Do not be ashamed of taking a button buck or a doe your firstyear out. You should hold your head up with pride! I pat you on the back for a job well done.Nothing worse than going out your first time and nailing a P&Y or B&C buck and have nothing more to look forward to. Let us know how he tastes, im getting the urges to trow some of last years on the grill . Again congrats on your first archery deer.
