Just wondering how many people use them, and if so what your tips for a good setup.

Doe should draw a buck and other doe during the rut and I have had positive responses using a doe.

have used both best success with a doe. like to put estrus urine all over the decoy. if you do use one during a gun season put a orange vest or orange tape on it.

IMO it's been more trouble than it's worth. I think it's easier awesome or terrible. I've seen plenty of videos where it has worked like a charm, but I think it has to do a lot with how the deer are feeling ona particular day. One day their "lovers" the next day their "fighters" I think it just depends.

However, I do know that to effectively use a decoy, your better off putting it out in the open, like in a field, for all deer to see. It's that right there that detersme from using a decoyduring the rut, as I wouldmuch rather set up in a funnel in the woods waiting for ahot doe to come by with a big buckright on her tail. I wouldn'tuse a decoy during the rut because Iprefer natural movement. I wouldn't take the chance with one personally.

I just bought one in the off season and I plan on using it. I often see bucks cruising through fields during the rut and calls arent always enough to lure them in. I now have some stands set up on field edges and can't wait to try it out.
